Oregon Concealed Handgun
The SDEs Basic handgun class is designed to accomplish three things: Increase knowledge of firearms, the NRAs three rules for safe gun handling, and to provide certification for the student to apply for their concealment license in the state of Oregon.

The student will learn about basic firearm safety, ammunition, knowledge & handling of a firearm, how to operate a pistol, basic shooting skills, basic Oregon gun law, home security, non-lethal options, and safe storage of a firearm.
Utah Concealed Handgun
The SDE’s Utah concealment course is to provide the necessary information and certification so the student can apply for the Utah CCW license. This license is recognized in 30+ states.
While our competitors may SEEM like they charge less, our students have found that they are infact much more expensive! When you attend our Utah course, you will not have to run around town getting your passport photo ($20), Fingerprints ($35), Notary ($5), and the post office. We take care of EVERYTHING! (Notary, Fingerprinting, Passport photo, copy your drivers license, and even mail it!). This is a great savings and very convenient right? In 5 years when you have to renew, SDE will not charge you a second time for the same course! That is a 100% savings!
Handgun level 1.5R
This is our range class that is dedicated to brand new shooters. We cover how to load and unload single action revolvers, double action revolvers, and various semi-automatic handguns. Focusing on safety and basic shooting fundamentals, this is a great course to start out with.

Handgun level 2
The SDE’s Practical Handgun is for students who take their self-defense very seriously and wish to continue their education on firearms.

Students will learn the following subjects:
-Concealment vs. cover
-Concealment options
-4 count presentation of a handgun
-Immediate action drills (how to clear a malfunctioned firearm)
-Rapid reload (tactical and static)
-Sustained fire drills
-Movement with a firearm
-Aftermath of a shooting

In the range, students will draw from concealment to engage targets. This realism based training may save your life or a loved one! This is the same course SDE has taught to Military and Law Enforcement personel.
Prerequisite: Basic Handgun or Concealed Handgun Permit Holder
Handgun level 3
The SDE’s defensive Handgun is for students who take their self-defense very seriously and wish to continue their education on firearms.

Students will learn the following subjects:
- Shooring on the move
- Shooting from the seated position
- Single hand manipulation (Drawing and malfunction clearing)
- Shooting from uncommon positions (Supline, Urban Prone, Etc.)
Prerequisite: NWSDE Handgun Level 2
Handgun level 4
The SDE’s defensive Handgun is for students who take their self-defense very seriously and wish to continue their education on firearms.

We continue the progression from Level 3. We add the addition of:
- Communication as a team
- Moving targets
- Movement as a team
- CQB (Close Quarters Battle)
- Introduction to low light
Prerequisite: NWSDE Level 3
